Furniture Fairs and Best Months to Visit Foshan and Guangzhou

Foshan’s trade malls open every day of the year, while spring and autumn add huge furniture and building fairs across Guangzhou and Shunde.

March and autumn fair weeks in Guangzhou and Foshan

March is South China’s biggest fair month. At Guangzhou’s Pazhou halls, CIFF runs across two March phases covering home rooms, patio sets, decor, office desks and hotel seating, right beside Interzum for wood and hardware and the Custom Home fair for kitchens and wardrobes.

During the same weeks in Foshan, the Dragon Fair in Longjiang (next to Lecong) highlights busy home workshops, while every big Lecong mall launches new ranges.

In April and October, the Canton Fair in Guangzhou adds home goods, bath ware, tiles, lights and outdoor sets, alongside Foshan’s own Ceramics and Bath Expo.

Fair weeks versus calm regular weeks

Flying in during March, April or October lets you pair Pazhou fair booths in Guangzhou with permanent malls in Foshan on one trip. It’s great for spotting new styles.

Calm weeks in May, June, September, November or December are underrated for house and hotel buying. Hotels cost less, managers have unhurried hours to price your floor plan, and workshops quote fast lead times.

Planning around the Chinese New Year break

The one window to watch on the calendar is Chinese New Year in January or February. Workshops pause for about three to four weeks while makers travel home.

Lecong malls reopen soon after the public break, so late winter works fine for choosing models, while urgent builds should place deposits before December or from March on.

Weather, comfort and easy car days

October to December and March to May bring mild, pleasant days across Guangdong. Summer is warm and humid outside, with cool air inside every hall.

Having a car and local partner waiting at each hall gate makes weather a non-issue any month, keeping you fresh from nine in the morning right through six.
