What this site is
Most of what is written about the Foshan furniture market is the same article. Top seven halls, top twelve halls, top fifteen suppliers, all listing the same buildings in the same order, almost all of it written by somebody who has never stood in one of them.
This is an attempt at the other thing. What each hall is actually for, what to press and pull on a showroom floor, and the decisions that quietly cost money later, like whether a sofa can ship with its legs off.
How facts are handled here
Opening hours, floor counts and addresses are the details that go stale fastest and that a wrong answer really costs somebody. Where a detail has not been verified, this site prints not verified rather than a plausible guess.
That is deliberate. Sending a buyer across a city on a wrong opening time is worse than admitting the hours are not confirmed.
Corrections
Markets change. Halls are renovated, sections move, a building that was strong in one category five years ago is now strong in another. If something here is out of date, saying so is genuinely useful and it will be checked and fixed.
Who publishes this
Writing it came out of walking these halls for work, and the guide is the version we wanted to hand people who asked.
